Romy Burton and her high school friends traveled abroad the summer before they started college. While backpacking through Romania, the girls ended up near the infamous haunted Hoia-Baciu Forest. They were lured deep into the twisted woods, unable to escape, where Romy was forced to face memories buried a long time ago. Memories of a daughter she was forced to conceive and give up years before. When something in the forest sees fit to releasing her, Romy flees for what remains of her life.

 

Ten years later, divorced and jobless, 30-year-old Romy lives alone in her family's mansion in St. Louis, MO, plagued by the memories of what she and her friends endured. When her daughter, Skylar, delivers a warning that Skylar might be in danger, Romy ignores it. Until she learns that the danger is in front of her and has dragged her daughter into the depths of the Hoia-Baciu Forest.

 

Romy finds herself standing at a crossroad; to allow the child she gave away to face the same fate Romy suffered. Or go back to that hell and save Skylar and face the dark memories that plagued Romy for so many years.
